Aquatic therapy

Our aquatic facility includes two heated indoor pools. Patients can expect to work one-on-one with a therapist to develop an exercise program that is specific to their needs. The fitness pool is heated to 89 degrees and features a 9-foot section for deep-water exercises. The therapy pool is heated to 92 degrees. Both pools feature a ramp entry with a water wheelchair available.

Exercising in water decreases the load on the spine and joints. The buoyancy and compression of the water decreases pain, improves mobility and increases strength for a full-body workout.

Many patients report a sense of freedom in the water and success in their exercise program that they have not been able to find with traditional land therapy.
