The Center of Rehabilitation Excellence

The CORE-Parsons

Labette Health's Center of Rehabilitation Excellence (The CORE) houses outpatient rehabilitation, a medical-based fitness center, and an aquatic therapy and fitness facility with two pools, all under one roof.

The CORE offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient programs to attain maximum functional potential for all patients served. Individualized treatment programs are based on timely, comprehensive evaluations. Working with your referring physician, we blend the talents of experts from all phases of rehabilitation medicine to create a wide range of programs and services tailored to the needs of each person. These services include inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, a skilled nursing unit, home health, and working with nursing homes and athletes.

The CORE's medical fitness center was designed around Medical Fitness Association guidelines. It offers a state-of-the-art exercise facility with medical oversight that addresses each member's individual needs through medical screening, educational resources and continued health-risk monitoring.

The CORE also provides the Bill and Louisa Wiener Therapy Garden. The garden, funded by a generous grant from the Wieners, uses a variety of natural surfaces and textures to enhance rehabilitation therapies. It is one of only a few such gardens in the United States designed specifically for rehabilitation uses.

The CORE is located on campus at Labette Health. Call 620.820.5265 for more information.
