Description:
Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality imaging services in a patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and small parts
- Ensure high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
- Review and verify physician orders and patient history prior to exams
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure accurate diagnosis
- Maintain equipment and follow infection control procedures
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in EMR systems
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Required ARDMS RVT certification or ARRT Sonography, additional specialties certifications a plus (OB/GYN, Abdomen, etc.)
- Current BLS certification
- New grads are welcome to apply
