Description:

SUMMARY Provides leadership for the review, coordination, monitoring and development activities related to Labette Health Stroke Program, and implements any forthcoming provisions. Conducts reviews and makes recommendations for changes to the Stroke Progam at facility. Assist in coordination and oversight of stroke data collection and analysis. Evaluates data and prepares periodic reports reflecting stroke programs operation and patient outcomes. Monitors pre-hospital care and triage patterns for consistency with established protocols. Assists with coordination of the Time Critical Diagnosis meetings and prepares all necessary documentation and reports for same. Serves as a liaison on stroke related for Labette Health with any organization. Coordinates and assists with stroke prevention activities in the community with EMS with all external organizations. Assist in the development of other specialty care program as needs are identified. Investigates and responds to questions or complaints regarding the stroke program. Provides for interfaculty and professional staff development, participating in case review, standardizing practice guidelines, and directing stroke education and prevention program. Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BS in nursing from an accredited college or university preferred. ADN Required.Two years of experience working in a hospital with two years of clinical experience in the care of the stroke patients.
