Description:

Summary Obtains blood from patients, checks quality of blood, and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients, following established standards and practices. Assist Emergency Department staff with patient care, 30 minute rounding, patient vitals, patient transport on arrival and dismissal. Improve communication between all members of the Emergency Department team from registration to discharge. Attends nursing station and performs clerical and reception duties. Requisitions supplies, equipment, and services as directed. Performs basic cleaning as directed.

Education Requirements: Evidence of being able to work as a member of a team, under close supervision and follow instructions needed, and completion of on the job training required.

Previous Phlebotomy experience. PBT (ASCP) certification required.

Required Certification: CPR
