Job Summary:
Labette Health is seeking a dedicated Facilities/EVS Lead to join our team. This position assists the manager in supervising housekeeping service employees, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the medical center. The role also supports the availability of clean linen, helps maintain hospital grounds, and performs facility upkeep and repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining high standards of sanitation and appearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and supporting housekeeping staff to ensure high levels of cleanliness and infection control.

• Ensure adequate linen supplies and monitor inventory levels.

• Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, and general upkeep of outdoor areas.

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on facility systems such as fire alarms, boilers, safety switches, electrical equipment, plumbing, and related systems.

• Perform routine facility upkeep and assist in ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

• Work collaboratively with team members at all levels to support hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (oral and written).

• Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Prior supervisory or lead experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities preferred.

• General knowledge of facility maintenance, basic repairs, and housekeeping standards.

• Skills and knowledge typically acquired through a combination of experience and formal training, preferably at the college level.
