ENT stands for ear, nose and throat and is commonly used as the name for the practice of otolaryngology. The field of otolaryngology includes diagnosis and surgical and nonsurgical treatment for conditions of the ears, nose and throat, as well for issues involving the entire head and neck region. This can include things such as head or neck trauma, tumors, infections, congenital abnormalities and the effects of aging.
