Labette Health Independence Healthcare Center Welcomes Cancer Center of Kansas

PARSONS, KANSAS – Labette Health is pleased to welcome Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) to the Independence Healthcare Center. Cancer Center of Kansas has been providing oncology services at Labette Health’s main campus in Parsons for over 23 years. CCK-Independence is currently located at 800 W. Laurel Street, under the medical direction of Dr. Phu V. Truong. Dr. Truong, who will be onsite every Thursday, and staff will begin seeing patients at the Independence Healthcare Center on September 1, 2017.

“We are very excited to announce this collaboration with Cancer Center of Kansas to continue their longstanding commitment to the health and healing of patients in Independence and the surrounding communities of Wilson and Montgomery Counties”, said Brian A. Williams, President and CEO of Labette Health.

Both imaging and lab services will be available at the center, as well as a chemotherapy treatment center, designed to keep patient needs in mind. The center will offer many amenities including complimentary WiFi, radiant heat lamps, exterior window view, reserved parking spaces, warm blankets, kitchenette with microwave and complimentary beverage area.
