Description:

Summary: Assumes responsibility for the delivery of high quality nursing care and for the administrative management of the nursing unit. Directly supervises RN's, LPN's, CNA's, Ward Secretaries, and Monitor Techs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Will also work directly with the Trauma Coordinator to assist in oversight and coordination within the Trauma Program.

Education Requirements: Diploma in nursing, Associate’s Degree (A.D.N.) from two year college or Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.N.) from a 4 year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum of study which has led to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas. Five years of experience or more preferred.
