Description:

SUMMARY

• Supports all computers and associated equipment.

• Supports development and production activities of information systems.

• Is the desktop systems expert contributing to the day-to-day management of the desktop computing environment.

• Responsible for the desktop management practice including (but not limited to): maximizing uptime for business and clinical users & applications; developing enterprise-wide standards; and keeping current with IT technology; maintaining end-user computing hardware and coordinating warranty service with vendors.

• Contributes to and maintains departmental processes and procedures, develops and distributes documentation and training materials, and collaborates with IT peers to improve processes.

• Creates security access for end-users.

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and correcting problems over the phone, remotely, or in person.

• Responsible for Equipment Management and deployment.

• Develops and maintains electronic reporting tools. Assists in creation of end user reports and conducting data base searches.

• Provides support for interfaces and interface engine.

• Train under network administrator to provide back up support for telephone and VOIP systems, including communication infrastructure and server based systems.

Education Requirements:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field required. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Previous IT and/or computer hardware and software experience a plus.
