SUMMARY

Position is a Float position between Outpatient Scheduling and Insurance Benefit Verification. The purpose of this position is to coordinate outpatient diagnostic tests with physician offices, patients and hospital staff; and responsible for verifying patient insurance information prior to treatment. Performs the various computer clerical functions necessary to obtain required information via website/insurance company for benefit/pre-certification verification. Forwards information to appropriate departments and staff for pre-registration completion. .

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED. Previous insurance experience preferred. Medical Terminology, Previous experience highly desirable.
