M.D. Many people have unusual stories to tell about how they struggled to choose their life careers. But with an endearing smile and a twinkle in his eye, Dr. Dixit says that for him, it was an easy decision to make. "I chose to become a physician by default. My five other siblings were in medical school, so I had to follow them." Dr. Dixit has been a physician for 15 years, and has spent the last three practicing at Labette Health. He chose to practice in this rural area because he liked what he saw – a happy community with a population of about 10,000. This was an ideal setting for him which gave him the opportunity to pursue a meaningful medical career at a state-of-the-art facility, yet also to spend time relaxing on the couch watching movies and being with his son and wife, both of whom make him very proud. "I like the clean and tidy hospital with up-to-date equipment where I practice. And I really enjoy bringing the smile back on a child's face." |
