Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

At Labette Health's Webster Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, we are dedicated to helping people get past the hurdles of recovery and back to their lives, to work, family, active retirement, and/or independent living.

The Webster Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is designed to help you regain your highest level of function and independence. We are dedicated to providing the care necessary to meet your medical, physical, psychological, and social needs in an environment that promotes wellness, confidence, and independence. Our program is a "comprehensive inpatient medical rehabilitation program;" a place where those who have suffered disabling illness or injury will find the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

While on our unit, we encourage you to:

  • Wear comfortable sportswear - no more hospital gowns
  • Participate in daily care such as dressing and grooming
  • Join in individual and group leisure activities to help you resume normal activities
  • Eat meals with other clients in the dining room
  • Participate in an individualized therapy program

What should I bring to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit?
We get dressed and participate in therapies and activities each day on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. We encourage you to bring items that will make your stay with us comfortable. You should bring the following items:

  • Clothing (several changes of exercise clothing is a popular choice)
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Bathrobe and slippers
  • Nightgown/Pajamas
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
  • Grooming items such as shaving equipment, hair brush, make-up
  • Glasses and/or hearing aids
  • Assistive devices such as a walker

Please refrain from bringing expensive or irreplaceable items such as jewelry or large sums of money.

Family and/or friends will need to launder your clothing for you while you are with us.

Can I have Visitors?
Visits from family and friends are supported, and their participation in your treatment and educational programs is recommended. Visiting hours are 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. We respectfully request that visitors not interrupt your treatment schedule or rest breaks. We want you to receive the maximum benefit from the program.

Will My Insurance Pay?
Medicare and most insurances pay for the rehabilitation services provided. Some insurance plans will also cover your co-payment responsibility. A representative from our hospital can answer any questions you and your family may have about your benefits and coverages.
