Patients and Visitors
Please check your insurance coverage prior to service to be sure you and your physician have met the required pre-treatment authorizations (i.e. second opinions or pre-certification of services). If these conditions are not met, your insurance company could deny benefits and you will be responsible for payment.
Your hospital bill
Labette Health bills your insurance company if you provide us with the proper information. If insurance payment is denied or there is a balance due after insurance payment, a statement will be mailed to you. If you have any questions or concerns about hospital charges or billing, please feel free to call the business office 8 a.m. through 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and we will be glad to answer any questions you may have about your bill.
Labette Health offers a variety of options to assist you with paying your bill. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted. Payment plans can be arranged by contacting our business office. Charity care and financial aid are available to those who qualify.
Each physician who treats you will send you a bill that is separate from the one you receive from Labette Health. Consulting doctors interpret laboratory results, x-rays and other tests requested by your doctor will also send you a bill for their services. If you have any questions about charges you receive from your doctor, contact his or her office directly.
