Obstetrician/Gynecologist Logan Kracht, M.D., Joins Medical Staff
PARSONS, Kan., June 30, 2011 – Labette Health will welcome Logan Kracht, M.D., an obstetrician/gynecologist, to its medical staff July 18.
Dr. Kracht graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and Wichita and is now completing his residency in the University of Missouri-Kansas City obstetrics and gynecology program at Truman Medical Center. He was named “Consultant of the Year” for Truman Medical Center in 2009, and recently was honored as the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists “Outstanding Resident of Minimally Invasive Gynecology” for UMKC in 2011.
He earlier received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. As a medical student, Dr. Kracht volunteered in Jaydoc free clinic locations in Kansas City and Wichita, and participated in a medical mission to rural areas of Belize.
A native of Marysville, Kan., Dr. Kracht said he was looking forward to practicing in Parsons.
“After considering all of the options, my wife Maggie and I realized that there were just too many positive reasons to move our family to Parsons. It is a great fit because we will get to set down roots in a small town much like the place I grew up. Even during my brief visits, there was a familiarity that made it feel like we belonged,” he said. He and Maggie have a son, Preston, who is almost two.
Dr. Kracht will practice with Dr. Javine Horani in Suite 301 of Labette Health’s Medical Office Building E on the south side of the hospital.
“I am comfortable with both low- and high-risk pregnancies, and with diagnosing and managing various gynecological conditions. I can perform many common gynecological procedures both in the office and operating room, such as hysterectomy, pelvic organ prolapse repairs, anti-incontinence procedures, endometrial ablations, and tubal ligations. I have a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery,” he said.
“I can't wait to begin building lifelong relationships with patients and their families in this wonderful community.”
