The Cancer Center of Kansas, P.A., founded in 1975 by Dr. Harry E. Hynes, MD, provides services for the treatment and prevention of cancer. There are now a total of 15 outpatient clinics across the state of Kansas.
A partnership with the Wichita Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), a National Cancer Institute Research Program, enables the Cancer Center of Kansas to access research programs developed and/or utilized by the Mayo Clinic, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the Southwest Oncology Group, the National Surgical Adjuvant Bowel Project, and the University of Rochester. Many of our patients are enrolled in the latest and most promising clinical trials. In years past, patients traveled long distances to the Mayo Clinic, or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, but state-of-the art technology has enabled those institutions to reach out to a wider outpatient population. The Wichita CCOP program is one of the most highly recognized clinical research programs in the country.
The Parsons Satellite office was opened in September of 2003 on the Labette County Medical Center campus. We are currently located on the south wing of the second floor in the hospital. We provide oncology/hematology services consisting of chemotherapy and biotherapy to our patients. Our hours of operation are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday. The Cancer Center of Kansas provides access to both quality care and the latest innovations in cancer treatment to Labette County and surrounding communities. For more information, please call 620-421-2855.
